The Toronto School is situated alongside the beautiful Lake Macquarie. It is only 10 minutes from the M1 and is nestled in the Toronto shopping precinct.

Strato Anagnostis Studied classical guitar at the Tasmanian conservatorium of music in the late 70’s he went on to study musical instrument making with harpsichord maker Bill Bright where he help build the harpsichords for the Sydney Opera House and the Power House Museum.
In the early 80’s he undertook a study tour of European musical instrument museums. One of the instruments he studied during this tour was one of the four guitars made by Antonio Stradivarius at the Ashmolean Museum in England. While in England he furthered his luthier studies in baroque guitar and lute making with Luthier Rob Eyland.
After coming back to Australia, Strato started making guitars and early stringed instruments for local musicians. He supplemented his income by also making top end corporate gifts. He was a regular supplier for Prime Minister and Cabinet of VIP gifts for international dignitaries. Some recipients of his products are Pope John Paul II, Dali Lama of Tibet, King of Nepal, King of Tonga, Governor of New Guinea, President of Congo, Sultan of Oman, President of Toyota.
In 1997 Strato founded the Australian Guitar Making School and started teaching stringed musical instrument making in Toronto NSW beside the picturesque Lake Macquarie.
After teaching about 250 students to build guitars and other musical instruments Strato in collaboration with business consultant Pedro Flanagan expanded the Australian Guitar Making School under license to other cities and states around Australia.
